Power of Imaginary Punch

At a young age my brother mastered the art of playing by himself. As he would any other day, he was in a room playing fighting against his powerful enemy with weapons he made out of cardboard boxes. Thinking he might want a company, I went to see how he was doing and found him like so.

Sometimes his imaginary enemies are a lot  stronger than he can handle.

(But don't worry, in the end he won by throwing the Holy Mackerel at his enemy.)

So Much Love

In the middle of watching a movie in the living room, my sister started to walk backwards...toward me. All the hard work--walking backwards bumping into things while keeping her eyes on the screen--just to see what I was doing.

Sometimes her love and attention overwhelms me into tears.

The Hot Guy from The Avengers

Dahea and Broski

Sometimes ignorance is not bliss. (But most of the time, it is.)

Broski & Dahea

We absolutely adore President Uchtdorf and love his talks.

The Three Siblings

If I have a weird way of showing my affection, this is why.

We love our broski.

Sunshine, Daisies, Butter Mellow...

Give me some cold, green jello.

Summer breaks are made up of late nights, sleeping in, nonexistence of mornings, lazy best gestures, procrastination, brain cell slaughter, and occasional natural sunlight.

It was truly blinding.
And dad didn't need my help.

The Four Friends

Dahea, I, Josephine and Song

We lived together last school year and we are tight. As distinct as the colors we are so different from each other. But together we're more harmonious (and fun) than these four colors can be.

I love you, mang.

2D Stuff from Winter 2012 Semester

For my 2D animation class, we were given a character to use for the entire semester. Cynthia, our teacher, let us give him a name and a personality, and I chose mine to be named Ollie.

This was the third assignment, which was to make our character "move a rock." We had the liberty to choose what kind of rock it'll be (weight, size, etc.) and how the character will move it.
Ollie's from another planet, so he can move things with his mind!
(This was done using regular paper and a pencil.)
[March 2012]

For the final assignment we had to choose a sound clip (can you guess where mine's from?) and move the character according to it.
(I used Flash for this one.)
[April 2012]

I love 2D animation. It has a lot of tedious work that comes with it, but it's so flexible and friendly (compared to 3D animation). I had fun doing these assignments :)

The Power of Imagination

One of my friends texted me:
"I'm with [a friend of ours] and a mission companion who is from Utah. Fitted cut off jean shorts, man bag or purse however you want to refer to it, hair that is kind of longish up front, and I'm sure he brushes it or combs it into that style everyday. He is cute though and has dimples and a pedophile mustache."

The blog wouldn't let me post this in its original size (too long, I suppose), so I had to separate them into pieces.

This was just my silly interpretation of my friend's text, and I apologize for any offenses I might have made. I was joking. (Mostly.) I still don't know what this guy actually looks like, but it'd be fun to meet him later and show this to him.

From the Past: Two Bathrooms

Me, Josephine and Rachel

Josephine and I were getting ready to go somewhere, then we had this conversation. Unfortunately ,Rachel, our poor roommate, was there to hear all of it. Not that she wasn't used to it :)

3D Stuff from Winter 2012 Semester

I haven't uploaded any of my 3D animation stuff that I worked on this past semester, so here are the four assignments I had in Intro to 3D Animation class. They're not good, but since when did I post/show stuff because I thought they're good? :)

Legoman from Fall 2011 semester
The following animation used the 3D Legoman I had made the previous semester.
The main object of this assignment was to learn to use key frames for animating in Maya.
[Jan 2012]

This was the dynamics assignment. At first I wanted to do candle light, but after spending hours researching, I gave up and turned to liquid.
[Feb 2012]

Blendshapes assignment.
We had to choose a sound file to sync with the animation. Mine's from a song called 'Hiphopopotamus vs. Rhymenoceros' by Flight of the Conchords. It was fun creating different mouth shapes for words and listening to this segment over and over again for hours was fun.
[Feb 2012]

Final project for the class. I designed, modeled, rigged, textured, animated and lighted the character. This also had to sync to a sound file. The song's from Amelie soundtrack.
[April 2012]

Although they're all very short, each assignment took me forEVER to complete. Needless to say, I learned a great deal each time the assignment was given. There were fun parts, but there were also a lot of frustration, anxiety, and stress involved. There are many mistakes and much room for improvement, but for the most part, I'm excited to learn more things about 3D animation in the future.

From the Past: Sexy Lingerie

Josephine, Song and Dahea

The pixelated part may or may not be a joke.
We tease her a lot all the time.

The Trend Leader

This is my sister.
The joke is that she's wearing her favorite kind of clothes: PJs. But I wanted to portray it in a cool and awesome way. 'Cause that's how she be.

Tricks are for Kids!

"Green Triangle"

My broski learned a new yo-yo trick today! It only took him three hrs. He is so proud of himself and made us watch him fail bazillion times before he'd succeed once.

Wednesday, May 2, 2012

My brother is currently obsessed with yo-yo. Right before my sister and I got home for the summer his beloved yo-yo broke, and finally today his yo-yo package arrived. I opened the door for him when he got back from school, and this is the first thing he said--and he said a lot of things.

The blurred part is when he read out loud the address of our home, including his name and the full nine digits of the zip code.

From the Past: Yellow Stuff

Josephine, Song and Dahea

We still don't know what 'yellow stuff' she was talking about.

           ...and neither does she.

From the Past: Sleep Mask

My dear friend Josephine continues to insist on using the sleep mask to this day.
